The River Campus Libraries (RCL) at the University of Rochester (UR) seeks a
creative and collaborative applications developer to join the Digital
Initiatives department. Reporting to the Director of Digital Strategies, the
position contributes application development and programming to support and
develop RCL’s research and scholarly impact services and applications, Open
Educational Resource (OER) initiatives, and a range of discovery and access and
bibliometric initiatives. The position also contributes technical and
problem-solving expertise to departmental projects, helps guide and coordinate
the work of the engineering team, and provides expertise in managing code
repositories, software development-tracking platforms, and technical
documentation systems to ensure well-documented records of the department’s
programming efforts. This position also helps the Director with prioritizing
engineering team initiatives and reporting on progress.
