The University of Arizona Libraries’ Research Engagement office seeks a Data
Repository Developer to support the University of Arizona Research Data
Repository (ReDATA). This research data repository is intended to be a
long-term archive containing the version of record of publicly-shared datasets
and software produced by University of Arizona researchers. This position will
work closely with the Research Data Management Specialist to build capacity for
data preservation for materials deposited in ReDATA. This includes creating and
modifying Python-based software to automate data cleaning and packaging, using
web APIs to pull data and other information together as part of a preservation
workflow, creating and updating documentation for these tools, and assisting
ReDATA staff in deploying these tools on ReDATA’s cloud infrastructure. The
incumbent will be responsible for working with the ReDATA team to complete a
resilient, well-documented pipeline for data preservation. This position is
time-limited with a six month duration. Work may take place on-site at the Main
Library in Tucson or remotely (candidate must physically reside in Arizona).

This is an extended temporary (ETE) position with an expected duration of six
months.
