Emerging Technologies Specialist Position Summary The Emerging Technologies Specialist has the dual role of developing technical improvements to library operations and service, such as scripting automated tasks and integrating data from siloed databases, while also supporting a growing demand for digital scholarship and pedagogy support. This position plays a key role in these collaborations by providing expertise in library-specific technologies that facilitate students' and researchers' active engagement with the libraries' digital collections through emerging digital scholarship methods and formats, such as digital exhibits, video production, data visualizations, text analysis, interactive maps, and born-digital books. The Emerging Technologies Specialist partners with library and teaching faculty, University of Dayton IT (UDit), and the Center for Online Learning to implement, adapt, secure, and maintain sustainable library software and systems.
