Why is this role important? The Data & Analytics team at Loblaw is hiring an Sr. Analyst, Metadata Management, with experience in working with big data. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Metadata Management, the incumbent will be responsible for advocating our data governance framework and building processes to improve the management our Enterprise data. This will include playing a key role in developing, socializing, and monitoring adherence to data and reporting standards. The scope of engagements will be related to various subject areas including master data, finance, operational performance, loyalty, and inventory among others. In short, helping us achieve our ultimate goal of becoming a data-driven organization. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation of Metadata Management and the ability to work with large databases and data structures. Ultimately you'll play a key role in ensuring data is managed, standardized and understood across the Enterprise. Requirements: Design and develop data glossaries and standards using world-class tools and technology Manage and maintain metadata repositories (Axon and Enterprise Data Catalog) Champion the value of Key Data Elements, Data Ownership and the importance of Metadata Management to key business stakeholders Consult with internal and external stakeholders to uphold metadata management best practices Review solutions for adherence to data and reporting standards as part of production processes Help establish a Data Governance Operating model to drive ownership and accountability Work with business to flag consent-related, sensitive and critical data elements Demonstrate CORE (Care, Ownership, Respect, Excellence) values Other duties as required ---- Brought to you by code4lib jobs: https://jobs.code4lib.org/jobs/52479-sr-analyst-metadata-management
