Greetings: The Software Preservation Network (SPN) Metadata Working Group is pleased to release an update to the Software Metadata Recommended Format (SMRF) Guide. As with the first SMRF release, SMRF 1.1.0 provides an adaptable framework to describe a range of software types to support discovery, access, and reuse in libraries, museums, archives, and repositories, and it also brings some key updates:
