Howdy all,

As most of you are aware, the number of people interested in attending c4l
this year exceeds the number of available spaces by a considerable margin.
I'm hoping productive conversations emerge to improve the
conference/process for next year, but there is still the issue of what can
be done right now.

Fortunately, there's a great way to get in no matter how low you are on the
waitlist -- just submit a talk proposal at
http://wiki.code4lib.org/index.php/2012_talks_proposals

If your session is accepted, a spot has already been reserved for you! As
an extra bonus, you get good karma for sharing your ideas and methods with
the broader community. Plus, the fact that the mathematical odds of your
talk being accepted are quite decent should appeal to the
programmer/analyst in you.

But don't delay. The deadline for talk proposals is November 20 so you need
to submit your idea this week.
