ORGANIZATION The City University of New York JOB TITLE University Systems Librarian Position—Web & Mobile Based Systems Specialty JOB SEARCH CATEGORY: Managerial and Professional JOB ID NUMBER: 5457 GENERAL DESCRIPTION As part of the Library Systems team, manages one or more aspects of the University’s complex library technology systems, with the primary responsibilities of supporting the integrated library system and implementing web-based library technologies. CAMPUS-SPECIFIC INFORMATION This position will assist in the management of the University’s primary library software system, Aleph 500 by Ex Libris, and will work chiefly with the Office of Library Services team as well as staff from Computing and Information Services and from CUNY campus libraries to plan and perform system maintenance and upgrades for systems that support automated library functions such as the acquisition, cataloging and delivery of physical and electronic library resources. This position will also provide opportunities to plan, implement, and manage new web- and mobile-based library services and products, integrating emerging technologies such as cloud-based discovery/delivery tools and mobile library applications with other CUNY and local campus systems.
