Emerging Technologies Analyst

Responsibilities: Identify, develop, and implement emerging media technologies 
to support and evolve the University Libraries' programs, services, and 
collections in its ongoing transition from print to a predominantly digital 
environment.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, 
information systems/technology, MIS, or MLS/MLIS degree from ALA accredited 
program at time of appointment. Understanding of and demonstrated experience 
working with technologies such as digital library systems and Web 2.0 tools; 
working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JSP, HTML, XML, or other development 
technologies; knowledge of conversion of analog film and video to digital 
media. Effective oral and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications: Additional advanced degrees. Understanding of and 
experience with code versioning and collaboration tools, modelview controller 
frameworks, open source project contributions, user centered design and 
accessibility best practices, Linux; Django or Python, h264 video streaming; 
Java development and Web application deployment. Salary up to $45,400.
