(Apologies for cross posting)

Code4Libbers,

October 17th is approaching quickly, so I thought I'd send out a reminder
about the upcoming Code4Lib Mid-Atlantic conference. As well, for those
interested in doing a presentation, the conference proposal deadline is THIS
FRIDAY, August 26th. Interested parties can submit proposals here:

http://vustuff.org/vustuff/tech-trifecta/submit-a-proposal/

Like with the national conference, presentation time is 20 minutes, and 10
minutes for Q&A. Because this is a one day event, presentation slots are
limited.

Details on the conference can be found at:

Greetings from the Villanova Tech Trifecta Team,

Falvey Memorial Library at Villanova University is proud to announce a
series of events, nicknamed the Tech Trifecta, taking place during the week of
October 15th, 2012. The three conferences making up the Tech Trifecta week
include:

   *   VuFind Summit 2012<http://vufind.org/wiki/vufind_summit_2012> (Oct 15th
and 16th) -- The follow-up to 2010's 2.0 planning meeting will include detailed
discussion of the new release and opportunities to network with other VuFind
users.

   *   Code4Lib Mid-Atlantic
2012<http://wiki.code4lib.org/index.php/Code4lib_Mid-Atlantic> (Oct 17th)--
Code4Lib is a volunteer-driven collective of hackers, designers, architects,
curators, catalogers, artists and instigators from around the world, who
largely work for and with libraries, archives and museums on technology
"stuff." The Mid-Atlantic conference is a kick-off for a Philadelphia
Area/Tri-State chapter of the organization.

   * VuStuff III<http://vustuff.org> (Oct 18th) -- VuStuff is an annual
conference on the intersections between technology and scholarly communication.
It takes place every Fall at Villanova University's Falvey Memorial Library.
This year's conference, VuStuff III, will seek presentations from regional
librarians on technology and scholarly communication in their respective
libraries. We hope to foster an ongoing conversation among regional libraries,
in order to further the development of technology in service of scholarly
communication.

If you haven't already signed up for this year's event, I encourage you to
do so ASAP as space is once again limited (VuStuff has hit capacity every year
it has been held). For details or to register for this year's events, follow
the links above or head to:

As well, we're still accepting proposals for talks at all three
conferences. Those who are interested in presenting can sign up for a
speaker's slot at:

http://vustuff.org/vustuff/tech-trifecta/submit-a-proposal/

Thank you for your time and we hope to see you the week of October 15th.
