You are invited to participate in the survey called "Metadata Practices in
Digital Scholarship". This survey is designed to gather information on metadata
practices at academic, public and other libraries in relation to digital
scholarship. This includes metadata planning, creation, controlled
vocabularies, metadata standards/schemas, reference or consultation. The survey
has a particular emphasis on metadata reference and consultation services.
Digital scholarship is defined in this survey as research and teaching that is
made possible by digital technologies or that takes advantage of these
technologies to ask and answer questions in new ways; digital scholarship can
include work done in the Digital Humanities, E-Science/data management,
electronic theses and dissertations, or the digital intellectual and scholarly
output of an institution.

Participation is voluntary and you may withdraw from the survey at any time.
All responses are anonymous. No names or institution affiliations will be asked.

The survey should take approximately 30 min. to complete. If you have questions
about this survey, please contact Jennifer Eustis at
[email protected]. This survey will close on March 31, 2014.
