Hello all!

Our Music Library used the Variations software as a way to share/stream digital
audio for their users. As I understand, this software is no longer updated and
has not been since 2009. Since this software is starting to show its age, so
to speak, we are looking for alternate audio streaming sources. If your
institution uses an audio streaming software, can you tell me what it is you're
using? One feature of Variations that was a top favorite among staff and
readers is the 'auto page turning' feature which has the ability to turn score
pages while the selection plays. Other desirable features would be the ability
to post video subscription urls and to easily support course reserves. I've
heard of other media system tools such as Avalon, Kaltura and of others that
could stream digital audio such as Overdrive and possibly ContentDM.

I write to ask members of this list on what you are using to stream digital
audio at your institution and for you to share any feedback you have for this
tool. Does the audio streaming software you're using have the ability to do
any of the three things I listed above? Or can you recommend anything that has
the ability to turn musical scores/pages while listening to its music selection
(so far I have not heard of anything that can do this).

Thank you! Cindy
