For full details and to apply: https://centralia.peopleadmin.com/postings/933 About the position: The Information Literacy and Technology Librarian provides innovative library instruction and services through information literacy teaching and outcomes assessment, library technology support, and customer-focused service initiatives. This position will be an active participant in team-based coordination of the library's information literacy program. This position is lead librarian in management of digital resources and services, library integration with eLearning services, and first-tier support of library systems and applications. This tenure-track faculty position will also provide personalized research support to students and staff/faculty and conduct collection development in assigned subject areas, including OER. About Kirk Library: The Kirk Library at Centralia College is committed to innovation and this is evident in successful leadership on projects in open education, next generation library services, and support of undergraduate research. The library is well-supported by administration and enjoys positive relationships across campus. Information literacy instruction is integrated across several disciplines, and partnerships with discipline faculty are strong. Major projects underway include migration from Voyager to the Alma integrated library system and planning for a major physical expansion, including the addition and integration of several new services such as makerspaces and enhanced creative and collaborative spaces. Within the next few months the library will be implementing a new service model based on a "reference triage" approach. The college seeks a librarian for this tenure-track faculty position to contribute to critical conversations around "new librarianship" and an emerging library mission focused on facilitating creation, sharing, and application of knowledge in addition to discovery and access. In order to support that evolution, the ideal candidate for this position will have a demonstrated commitment to teaching and learning, and basic technology agility/aptitude with an interest in further development and growth of hard skills.
