About the position:

The Information Literacy and Technology Librarian provides innovative library
instruction and services through information literacy teaching and outcomes
assessment, library technology support, and customer-focused service
initiatives. This position will be an active participant in team-based
coordination of the library's information literacy program. This position is
lead librarian in management of digital resources and services, library
integration with eLearning services, and first-tier support of library systems
and applications. This tenure-track faculty position will also provide
personalized research support to students and staff/faculty and conduct
collection development in assigned subject areas, including OER.

About Kirk Library:
The Kirk Library at Centralia College is committed to innovation and this is
evident in successful leadership on projects in open education, next generation
library services, and support of undergraduate research. The library is
well-supported by administration and enjoys positive relationships across
campus. Information literacy instruction is integrated across several
disciplines, and partnerships with discipline faculty are strong. Major
projects underway include migration from Voyager to the Alma integrated library
system and planning for a major physical expansion, including the addition and
integration of several new services such as makerspaces and enhanced creative
and collaborative spaces. Within the next few months the library will be
implementing a new service model based on a "reference triage" approach. The
college seeks a librarian for this tenure-track faculty position to contribute
to critical conversations around "new librarianship" and an emerging library
mission focused on facilitating creation, sharing, and application of knowledge
in addition to discovery and access. In order to support that evolution, the
ideal candidate for this position will have a demonstrated commitment to
teaching and learning, and basic technology agility/aptitude with an interest
in further development and growth of hard skills.
