I already re-wrote the Oper FAQ and it will be up on the Undernet web sites shortly. Although cfv-165 did away with snotices, users still see IRCops doing mode changes (oping channels), and if a person is killed while on your channel, you will see the Oper kill. With that in mind, the part of the Oper FAQ you mention is still valid. Much of the rest of the URL mentioned in my reply is changed in the new FAQ to reflect that /who 0 o is useless and that wallops are no more <sigh>. stoney`
