Note that Brahim___ and BrahimXX have different IP addresses. I suspect they were on different servers, and that the server BrahimXX was on was lagging--it didn't receive the /mode +b from RavenklaW before BrahimXX joined the channel. Bans are enforced by the remote server. (This is why X can walk through bans unmolested...) This could have happened with Brahim___ if his/her/its server was lagging, too--the user could have done a /leave followed by a /join. The /leave would have crossed the /kick on the server<->server link, but wouldn't have propagated to you; the subsequent /join would appear as normal. (When the /kick finally reaches the user, you would see a second /leave.) Again, the ban would not have taken effect due to the lag. Hope this helps... -- Kevin L. Mitchell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
