Just a little introduction.
I'm a newly-hired software developer (first full-time job yay!) after
getting my CS degree just this December 2005. Previously I worked as a
Linux consultant/sys admin part-time for a year which involved a lot of
Bash and Perl programming. Been using Linux for 9 years (10 this coming
December) and self-taught myself C 9 years ago.
My distros of choice in order: Slackware (7 years), Ubuntu/Debian (2
years) and RHEL (0 years - company's distro).
I'm currently getting trained to do SS7 development (for mobile
carriers) using C on Linux with occasional C++ side projects. Hopefully
I'll learn a thing or two from seasoned UNIX systems programmers on the
list.
