Michael Rob Erik Peter Silvier Martin I wanted the opinion of others as I have extensive procedural experience, with very little OO experience. I'm also looking to make the transition from trivial level projects, to larger ones. I love a challenge. So I'm currently working on a smaller project, and hoping to find a suitable tool to use on this smaller project, so should the bids on larger projects be successful I'm not in a mad rush trying to find something suitable. I'm glad to say it appears I've been going in the "general direction" of the recommendations. I find it enlightening that while I did not specifically mention communication, several people did. Communication was one of the reasons I was looking at a UML design tool. On one of the projects I'm hoping to get, communication with the developers may be poor at best. I expect to be communicating with a "team lead". Which is a lot different to being able to turn around and see "the other guys screen". Code integration also concerns me. This was raised. A couple of tools seem to get around this problem by allowing the importation of code. Not ideal but workable. I prefer FOSS. If I need to go alternative to find a suitable tool then I'm open to recommendations. I find appropriate tools can make life easier. I'm not locked into the UML solution.
