Now that sourceforge.net have closed their build farm (grrr) it is
difficult for the portability conscious developer to gain access to a
sufficient variety of systems.

It is especially frustrating when a user reports a bug on, say, sparc
solaris, and you don't have access to a box to reproduce the problem, or
confirm you have nailed it. 

I know of a few places, e.g. HP make HP machines available, but I don't
know of any effort to track such resources.  Maybe there is an
opportunity for folks on the coders list to provide this facility on a
case-by-case basis, using the facilities we already have collecting dust
in our garages?  (For each other, that is, not the innertube at large.)
