                                Subject: Implementation Guides in MS
Access

<< File: 837 code sets within the 835.xls
>> The web page below provides the option to download all the HIPAA
                                transactions, seqment, and element
definitions stored in an MS Acess
                                database. This provides for considerable
flexibility in creating work
                                documents, particularly work documents that
reference multiple transactions
                                (270 -> 271).

                                http://www.wpc-edi.com/models/Data/

Attached is an example of an MS Access
report used to cross reference code
sets between the 835 and the 837.

When you open the MS database, a menu will
appear. Click on the transaction
you wish to view. These records are
searchable usin "EDIT" and "FIND". For
example, you want to find every where the
word "Trace" is used in the 835.

For more sophisticated searches, queries and
reports may be created.
The prerequisite for this is a good working
knowlede of MS Access.

                                For MS Access developers only:
To view tables and queries, click on lower
[X] to close main menu.
