Transaction 834, version 4010A1, will be used to enroll
members into a health product. If your company also sells dental, life,
long term care, etc... to a group and they want to enroll electronically how
do you plan to accommodate this? Life, at this time, isn't covered under
HIPAA.
* Are they putting them in proprietary format files?
* Are they using the old 834 standard that included a life segment?
* Are they simply sticking to a paper app until HIPAA covers life?
Any insight you can provide will be GREATLY appreciated.
