Hi Chris, This is strange, I certainly don't see this with my local Oracle setup on my Linux box.
I have DBD::Oracle version 1.15, running Oracle 8.1.6.1.0. What version are you running? Perhps you can try upgrading your DBD::Oracle to see if this helps?
