Hi, Sorry for coming in a bit late on this. If codestriker created the highlighted lines when the topic was created, the 10 -20 seconds or so of syntax processing becomes way less of a big deal. Make a new field in the database that has the cached "display" version of the topic. Also having a cached html version of the document gets codestriker a long way towards reviewing pdfs, word files, excel etc.
Thanks Jason. ----- Oiginal Message ---- From: David Sitsky <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Nikita Borodikhin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: codestriker-user@lists.sourceforge.net Sent: Monday, June 25, 2007 7:35:15 PM Subject: Re: [Codestriker-user] Syntax highlight (patch included) Hi Nikita, > Probably we should not stuck to only one (webcpp or other) but provide > generic layer for use external highlighters. Agreed! Thanks for looking into this, you'll make a lot of people happy!
