ok, I know many of you have been wondering if I got hit by a bus...
the answer is "kinda". I decided to make some changes in my personal
life and they definitely affected my ability to contribute much at all
to ColdSpring or the other O/S projects I'm involved with.

The good news is that things have become more stable for me, and I do
believe that I can find the time to re-engage this project and get a
solid 1.0 release out the door.

So, first things first... a huge thanks to Chris and Kurt for carrying
the ball that I so abruptly dropped. I'm extremely excited about all
the CS content @ cf.objective(). It's cool to see a CFDJ article on
ColdSpring (and if you haven't checked out the CS Petmarket app on
cfpetmarket.com, please do). I'm especially happy to see
factory-bean/factory-method support - while I haven't played with it
yet, it was #1 on my list of enhancements that HAD to be tackled.
Chris and Kurt have been working on some really cool remoting stuff
that I believe will be "disclosed" soon (if it hasn't already) - we
want ColdSpring to be a no-brainer choice when building flex 2.0 apps.

I know many of you would like to see the current 0.5.0 release tagged
1.0 so they can use it in production (that's a really silly rule, but
I understand that mgmt is often silly). So, my revised roadmap is
this:

There are 16 open tickets in our issue tracker
(http://project.fmdrl.org/browse/CSP)

Many of them are quick fixes and some may even be fixed/won't fix.

Once those 16 tickets are closed and Q/A'd, and the framework is Q/A'd
in existing production apps, we'll stick a fork in it and call it
1.0.Should be doable in the next 2-3 weeks. I'm going to Colorado on
3/4 (on a *real* vacation!) so I'd like to to have this out the door
before then.

 Sound good?

-Dave
