1. The current version in CVS works the best with Reactor. An older
version will work but you won't be able to use
factory-bean/factory-method which IMHO is the best way to use CS with
Reactor.

2. There was an article in CFDJ as well as several blog posts. I have
a sample application on my blog which show how to use Mach II and CS
together using best practices. It is called appbooster.

can find links to this information on the CS website
(coldspringframework.org). Don't forget there is some great
documentation that comes with CS including more sample applications.
