Fortunately, Joe introduced the <include /> tag in MG 2.0, so it's not really an issue for MG.

I think Sean's saying he wants an include tag in the ColdSpring XML and to have CS actually handle it appropriately.

I think it's a great idea, but unless the Spring DTD actually allows it I think we're in for an uphill battle getting some folks to accept be because "Springiness" seems to be a big goal of the project. If the include tag is a departure from the Spring DTD, there are some key folks on the project that, I suspect, would balk on those grounds alone.

One question, Sean...


Does the loadBeansFromXML() method give you the ability to load more than one XML config file? If so, you COULD just call it from a controller more than once to set up your standard "includes" before loading your application-specific XML file. Well, before/after shouldn't really matter much, but you might be able to load up more than one XML file that way.
