Thanks for the quick response.
However, although it seemed to make perfect sense when I read it, I
must not be understanding it, because when I searched for various
lines from the patch (-, + and neither), they were not in
/coldspring/beans/DefaultXmlBeanFactory.cfc or anywhere else in
ColdSpring, so I don't know where to do the replacements.
But that's okay-- Kurt says he's processing the patch this
weekend. The weekend is close enough that I can wait.

As it's only a small patch, remove all lines that start ++ from your
file, and
replace with the lines starting --.
If you have the patch command (or a GUI that can read 'unified diffs'):
patch -p1 <patch.txt
