[I apologize if by chance you're seeing this for the 2nd or 3rd time
-- when I sent it before, I saw no evidence it was received OR that
it bounced, and my email is working fine.]
Thanks, Kurt for putting the patch in CVS, and for you patient
support on this issue.
I'm quite sure I did the right thing with it. I went to...
http://code.coldspringframework.org/browse/CSP-79
...then clicked around until I got to...
http://dev.fmdrl.org:9010/viewrep/Coldspring2/coldspring/beans/DefaultXmlBeanFactory.cfc
...then (for version 1.44), after inspecting the annotated version, I
clicked on "raw", downloaded the file, and used it to replace...
/coldspring/beans/DefaultXmlBeanFactory.cfc
The new file on my server shows the changes indicated in the annotations.
I still get a ColdSpring error message, but it's a new one. I'm
starting a new email for that issue. Assuming I did the right steps
in installing the patch, this issue is resolved.
However, I don't know whether the patch is what solved it or not,
because in the meantime I discovered a deeper error in my MachBlog
implementation that was affecting things: When I opened
/machblog/config/mach-ii.xml.cfm in Dreamweaver for editing,
Dreamweaver automatically changed the case of certain code
elements. Since the file is read as an XML file, it's
case-sensitive. I fixed that and am moving on...to the next error message!
Thanks again,
Keith

Peter,
I'm still waiting for Kurt to put the patch in CVS. But in the
meantime, taking the hint from your question, I have downloaded and
installed Eclipse and CFEclipse. They look like nice tools.
All I want to do is get past this one bug so I can start using
MachBlog. I assume you're the Peter who made the patch for it. Can
you tell me exactly what to do?
Thanks!
Keith
