Compatriotas,
The race to my Special Election for the City Council next Tuesday,
February 16 - http://www.manzano.org - has proven to be challenging and
one of the most closely watched elections in local politics in
Manhattan, New York.
There are 4 people in the race, including myself. A recent poll shows
that I am a bit ahead of my main opponent. This is contrary to political
opinion which indicated from the beginning that I did not stand a
chance.
The New York Times will be endorsing a candidate over the weekend and
the Manhattan Neighborhood Network -- Channel 34 -- is broadcasting a
City Council debate six times starting tomorrow until Tuesday.

has to be a registered voter to participate in this election.
