     Dificil creer esto cuando como lo indica el articulo, es ironico darle 
     a Tirofijo ese apelativo ante las innumerables voladuras del oleoducto 
     que han causado catastrofes ecologicas, sin mencionar la eliminacion 
     de un medio de subsitencia para los pescadores, la contaminacion de 
     fuentes de agua potable y la perdida de vidas humanas cuando las 
     explosiones las han hecho en pleno casco urbano de algun municipio, 
     que tuvo la poca fortuna de estar al lado o rio abajo del oleoducto. Y 
     si todavia lo dudan, leanse la propuesta de EXPLOTACION de recursos 
     naturales dentro de la agenda de paz que las FARC proponen. Es 
     simplemente eso, mas refinerias. mas desorrollo de la industria 
     petroquimica sin hacer ninguna referencia a una explotacion racional 
     del recurso y a un desarrollo sostenible. Claro que el actual y los 
     anteriores gobiernos no es que hayan hecho mucho al respecto que 
     digamos, pero por lo menos en la propuesta actual se deja vislumbrar.

`Tirofijo is green. He's obsessed with the environment,'' said a 
prominent
           Colombian, who asked to remain anonymous. ``He's lived in the
jungle for 40
           years. He tells you, `Look at that river. It used to be
clean. Now look at all the
           crap in it.' ''
     
``It's contradictory. They blow up pipelines for the sake of conserving 
resources,''
           said Francisco Leal, a University of the Andes political
analyst.
     
           Lopez, the FARC spokesman, denies that the FARC attacks the
pipelines.
     
           ``We used to do that,'' he acknowledged, ``but our policy is
absolutely different
           now. . . . Our oil policy is totally modified. . . . We
believe that what must be done
           with the oil of Colombia is not to rupture the pipeline but
make oil an asset for all
           Colombians.''
