The most prominent attack against the US occurred last October when 17
people were killed by an explosion aboard the USS Cole, which was docking in
the Yemeni port of Aden. Most of the attacks that targeted the US came from
two terrorist groups in Colombia, which bombed the multinational Cano Limon
oil pipeline in the country 152 times in 2000.
