--THE GUARDIAN -- Amid continuing confusion over the role of British
troops in Afghanistan, the U.K. could pull its non-special forces
troops from the region, reports the Guardian.
Around 100 troops from the Royal Marine's Special Boat Service flew
in to Bagram airbase, north of Kabul, last week to assess the
security of the airfield -- a potential landing point for aid
workers, diplomats, and more troops.
However, the newspaper quotes a defense source as saying, "We may
not add [troops] to them [the SBS squadron], we may even pull them
out."
There have been reports that the anti-Taliban Northern Alliance is
blocking the deployment, and that the U.S. is unenthusiastic about
plans to send more British soldiers to the area.

LA TAJADA DEL LE�N
Un d�a, el Le�n se fue a cazar con el Zorro, el Chacal y el Lobo.
Cazaron y cazaron hasta que sorprendieron desprevenido a un venado y
lo mataron. Entonces surgi� la cuesti�n de c�mo iban a dividirse los
despojos y el Le�n se erigi� en �rbitro:
- Un cuarto de este venado es m�o, rugi�, y todos pelaron al venado y
lo descuartizaron en cuatro partes. Entonces, el Le�n se par� frente a
las partes y dijo:
- La primera cuarta parte era para m� por mi capacidad de Rey de las
Bestias, la segunda parte me pertenece por ser �rbitro; la tercera
parte por mi participaci�n en la caza y la cuarta, porque a ver si
alguno de ustedes se atreve a quit�rmela.
- Vamos, hombre - gru�� el Zorra alej�ndose con el rabo entre las
piernas - as� que el que comparte los trabajos con los grandes nunca
participa de las tajadas.
