Hello Florian,
is it reasonable to propose adding
<Plugin syslog>
LogLevel info
</Plugin>
to default configuration or disabling syslog plugin by default
with a sensible comment in stock collectd.conf that would warn
of sizeable log traffic?
I keep forgetting to disable it on both hosts and containers,
and a few [dozen] gigs of valuable debug information isn't
exactly fun when the space runs out -- but at the same time
I don't want to diverge from default upstream configuration
in the package (and am reluctant to patch/subst it).
Thanks!
PS: would a commit be more convenient? We maintain ALT package
in git either: http://git.altlinux.org/gears/c/collectd.git
