Sure, I've seen that - useful stuff.
for detailed background information and the solution provided by the
rrdtool plugin or using RRDCacheD (basically a stand-alone version of
the features provided by the rrdtool plugin plus some more
enhancements).
For what it's worth, those enhancements made a *big* difference at our site.
