Hi -- I was wondering if anyone is working on the support for sending cpu information as a percent utilization rather than the raw points for each type of cpu utilization. I found the previous patch from http://mailman.verplant.org/pipermail/collectd/2011-March/004415.html as well as https://github.com/collectd/collectd/pull/189 which both seem relevant but they both seem to have stalled out.
Being able to support this sort of thing in the cpu plugin and then generalizing to be able to do similar for other plugins seems like it would be valuable to get relevant metrics without having to do a lot of calculations across your metric stream - Jeremy
