Hi Vedran -- At Stackdriver, we made some updates to the C plugin that octo had started including updating it to use a more recent mongo-c-driver and our customers are using it pretty happily. It looks like the pull request for it ended up against octo's copy of collectd rather than the "main" version but you can grab it from https://github.com/octo/collectd/pull/34
