*Further to the success of its OSS-workshop in 2004, IDABC returns to
Karlsruhe - Germany - to discuss with Member State experts on open
source and the public sector during the 2005 LinuxTag - Europe's biggest
open source software and Linux event.*
The IDABC meeting "Working with the Community: OSS in Public
Administrations" is organised in conjunction with the German Federal
Ministry of the Interior <http://www.kbst.bund.de/>. It will focus on
two main topics (see also the draft programme

* A morning session on Pooling Resources ('source forges' for the
public sector);
* An afternoon session on Licensing Open Source Software.

*Date and Location*: [EMAIL PROTECTED] will take place on 23 June 2005, in
Karlsruhe, Germany - the day after the LinuxTag public sector conference

*Registration*: the IDABC event addresses representatives of European
public sector institutions, OSS competence centres and policy makers.
Participation is open and free. However, please note that capacity is
limited, and prior registration is necessary to attend. The deadline for
registration is *June 16, 2005*.

1. Fill and submit the online registration form

2. Your registration will be acknowledged within 5 days: _if you
do not receive the confirmation_, please contact the IDABC's OSS Event

3. Your request will then be processed and you will receive a
_confirmation of participation_ upon availability.
(*)The German Federal Ministry of Interior is sponsoring a limited
number of tickets for participants attending the IDABC event who also
wish to participate in the public sector Congress. English translation
for the event will be provided. It is possible to reserve a ticket
through our registration form.
