A point about the on going activities in the FR project :
- conferences in february and march:
. I'll give a conf to a linux user group Gulliver
http://gulliver.eu.org/ in Rennes the 15 february. This time it will not
be about OOo the product, but more about the project and its
organization methodology.
. I'll give another conference about OOo the product, the project and
the OpenDocument format at Grafotech on the 21 february
http://www.granit.org/grafotech.html. The last conference was done by
Microsoft ;)
. Another conf with Tristan Nitot from Mozilla Europe will be done at
Editions Eyrolles (publisher) on the 23 february
. on the 10 & 11 march, in Bordeaux, we are invited by Abul association
http://www.abul.org/ to give 2 talks and may be have a booth
. the 16 march, Laurent and me (mostly Laurent ;) are going to give a
conf about OOo and the OpenDocument Format for Aristote association
http://www.aristote.asso.fr/ at the Polytechnique school. Aristote is an
association grouping the most important research centers of our
countries (see here for an idea http://www.aristote.asso.fr/gin/Membres.htm)
. the 17/18/19 march, there is the Libre Graphic Meeting in Lyon, I'm
coordinating our presence with David Neary from the Gimp project.
. on 25 march, we'll do a conference in Amiens for the Free software day,
. 25/26 march, I'll be in Nancy to prepare the RMLL and shall do one
conf (I think :)
- inteviews/articles
. a OOo guide will be available in Management magazine next week

. an interview have been done by Eyrolles following the availability of
the book written by community members and reverse to Cusoon :

- project work
. we should receive computers from HP France for the members that are
running the testtools. We are going to be able to run the tests for all
the OS.
. we are currently writing a document about the Chart reimplementation.
The goal is to make such documents available for several functionalities
that are or will be under development but not enough visible through the
community
. on the same topic, we are organizing a monitoring of the specs available.
. the documentation is still in work, slowly, we need more people to
come to help
. we are still pushing animations (with e-anim an open source software)
to update our FAQ and documentation.
. we are setting an OOo shop (almost ready) where we will sell t-shirts,
cds and other goodies for Cusoon.
