I tried out Green, which is sort of a freeware rival to Eudora. It's
still under beta-testing and has too many bugs for everyday use. No
new versions for a year, so I gave out hope... Pegasus for Mac has
been discontinued. Cyberdog is discontinued, Claris Email is
discontinued. And I didn't like either Netscape Messenger or
Microsoft Outlook Express.
Eudora is more or less the only decent (sort of) freeware email
client for Mac. And it really is good, except that fooken commercial
ad (in sponsored mode) and that language patrol. But you can of
course always turn off MoodWatch.

Well, my work-mate Jari recently checked my Shockwave portfolio page
on Commie site (http://commie.oy.com/tzoga.html). The latest version
of Shockwave ActiveX control for IE first showed a warning "This
presentation might not be suitable for minors. Do you wan to
continue?" message before showing the Shockwave game.
Incredible! I didn't put that kind of code in there... As far as I
can understand, the damn plugin checked some database for "dangerous
words". Because the "Tzg vs. Mets" game is in Finnish, the
dangerous word must've been in the _domain name_ of Commie! Jesus
mothafucking christ! Macromedia has decided that our site might not
be suitable for minors.
(In a way, that's actually a compliment... ;)
Anyway, hunt a M$ IE with the latest Shockwave version (which is 8),
and try out the page yourselves...

Yep, that's the real issue here. I'm not really pissed off of some
stupid language filter that you can turn off if you want. The
attitude behind that kind of "technology" is the thing that pisses me
off...
But hopefully we still can use some bad language here on Commie. Let's try out:
Fuck! Shit! Pussy! Asshole! Tits! Sperm!
