Yep, system crashes will be history on Mac after OS X. It's based on
NeXT code, which was based on BSD. So, technically it's justanotha
UNIX variant.... but with the Apple know-how on user friendliness.
There has been some growling about the interface of X among the
current Mac-users. OS X has more Windows-like approach to many
things... Then again, you can set up the OS X desktop to act exactly
the same way as it works now on Macs.
