No, it's _not_ _coming_ to x86. But they're making a petition to
convince Apple that making Intel-compatible version of OS X is
reasonable.
The core of OS X can be run on x86 already. The core OS, "Darwin", is
based on NeXT, which was an Intel-based operating system.

Note that this is only the core. No fancy dock, transparency effects,
PDF clipboard, no Apple GUI, etc, etc... That's why they're making
the petition: They want all the fanciness too...
