:)
A couple of years ago - when my work machine was still a Wintel-pc -
I noticed that in Pegasus Mail you can put anything at all to the
"From"-field. You can pretend to be someone else. (Maybe this is a
piece of cake for any UNIX-guru, but for us end-users it seemed like
a miracle-like thing...)
So, I sent some joke mails to some of my friends as
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]". Petri Lahesmaa is a young right-wing
Finnish politician. Me being quite left-wing, it was fun to send some
"Petri Lahesmaa suggests that you should hug the trees!" -type
messages... ;)
Yep, you probably guessed it: I forgot that setting to the
preferences of Pegasus. I kept using the proggy for about two weeks
as Petri Lahesmaa. I never got any replies to my mails, but I just
thought that it was some kind of configuration problem in mail server
or something like that...
It was really embarassing to finally notice that I had forgot to
reset my real email address to the preferences... I sent an apology
to Lahesmaa. He never replied to it.
Hmmm... So, it was some kind of subconscious anarchist performance...
BTW, how about if we tried to make an art piece described in that art
review? It would certainly be interesting... ;)
