kubrick is fine, but the book wasn't all *that* bad either... at least they
bother to mention that the film was a "collaboration" with arthur c clarke.
so they have to assume that people have seen the film but not read the book -
though in this case the book is probably about 10 times more accessible than
the movie?
but it wasn't a bad practical joke... still, they'll stop laughing when the
REAL monolith is found this year...
