CYHIST Community Memory: Discussion list on the History of Cyberspace,[EMAIL PROTECTED],Internet writes:

And, btw2, which details of Mac System were already in the original Xerox OS

and what did Apple invent themselves?

From Steven Levy's book,

Overlapping windows...

One of the mac programmers saw an overlapping windows at

the XParc day, and wondered how they did it. The Xerox programmers

didnt figure out how, they just faked it.

Andy Hertzfeld, figured it out, and made that the basis for quick draw.

( Then implimented it on the Lisa...)

Also Overlapping Windows was the basis for the Apple Lawsuit

with microsoft for windows 2.0
