That's right...
Well, not really. The server was set to restart sendmail every night
in case it runs into problems. But... Eh, this seemed to cause more
problems than in fixed because all too often sendmail was shut down
properly but then it didn't start again. I changed the setting so
that it's no more shut down. If it dies, it gets started. If it's
still up, trying to start it again causes an error but shouldn't
disturb sendmail. Let's see if things work better now.
As a side note, after I come back from the CeBIT fair I will eventually
try to update both SW and HW, that should improve things even more.
