all right, apparently it was my email @ work that caused the stoopid "notify request"
thing. apology to everyone.
weird enough, i had everything related to notifying & asking for notification turned
off, but my subhuman privileges don't seem to reach everywhere. or something.
anyway, a different address, hopefully everything works.
