its british version of Garage House - but it has "broken" rhythm, and
some junglish basslines. (sorry no examples) it's a bit like speed
garage but more melodic and more vocals, and not so fast.

Garage House then again is based on soul, jazz, blues and gospel -
smooth house grooves around 120 bpm with vocals and nowadays even with
real instrumentation, not just synths, samples and drum machines
:)  based on phillysoul stuff from seventies.
