I had one half-made pattern of dub lying on my hard disk and then I had an
excellent violin+accordion sample. It just occurred to me, that combining
this two might work... So I quickly made a tune out of them... Didn't think
the song structure much... Made in about 7 hours.
The violin+accordion sample is ripped from a Polish klezmer band Kroke. Drum
sounds are from Fela Kuti's tune "Pansa Pansa" (except the echoed snare,
which is from... hmmm... can't remember...). The piano is ripped from some
anonymous mod. The bass guitar is from one mod by J'Ecoute
(http://jecoute.cjb.net/). The synth swirl and the guitar sample I made
myself.
The whole thing is made with MadTracker 2.09, overusing the mpReverb plugin.
