terrance mackenna suggests that magic mushrooms could be a form
of interstellar messenger, formulated and scattered by some other
civilization (at relativeely losw cost and effort), and entering
our atmosphere eons ago to grow and thrive and await comcumption
by an intelligent species, any intelligent species, since they do
in fact transport us to a rather fascinating mental space where we
find out lots of things -- quite alien things -- we did not know.
