Actually it's quite surprising there aren't any direct Christian symbolism in any of his books. He said that direct Christianity would've limited his imagination and would've been too pointing. But if you've read Silmarillion, the myth of the creation of Middle-Earth and the idea of fallen angel (Morgoth) as the ultimate evil are very close to the stories told in The Bible (afaik - I've never actually read _that_ book). >these CAP folks have no sense of irony whatsoever.
