i still think the ultimate is reached in win98/2000/etc: not only are the 
options in inconsistent places, but the ones you don't regularly use are 
automaticaly hidden away. what really makes this fun is the fact that the 
only way to discover how things are done with lots of software is to browse 
through the menus and try out all the options, which invariably have really 
confusing labels.
