>Yeah, these kept me amused for a very long while when playing & just cruising >around. Grand Theft Auto 3 is one of the best video games I've ever played. The game is in superb balance. It has a well-written storyline (with surprising good voice actors), the game missions have enough diversity, the game area is full of details, technically the game is more than well enough made (with only minor flaws), the sound design is stunning, the illusion of freedom in gameplay is more than believable... (Hell, I feel more free in GTA3 than in my real life...) It's realistic enough, but not in such a way that it'd lose the fast-paced game tempo: for example, the cars crash realistically, but you can get your character cured unrealistically just by collecting heart icons. The realism is used, when it serves the gameplay, and videogame-like details are used, when realism would make the gameplay awkward. AND the game has a lot of black humour - not to mention that the jokes are funny, they're not that "Scott me up, Beamey!" -nerd humour you meet way too often in "humorous" computer & video games. Actually, the overall gameplay in GTA3 is so well fine-tuned that I can only compare it to Paradroid. And _that's_ a compliment... ;) GTA3 just grooves. It beats most of the recent Hollywood movies, too. > I really love the last one =) > >"If it's got a central nervous system, we've got it ready to go in a box >to your >house."
